Vi data packs sorted by cost per GB (October 2026)

Vi's ₹23 data pack gives you 1 GB that ends at midnight. Its ₹69 pack gives you 3 GB for 28 days. Divide price by gigabytes and both come to ₹23.00 per GB. The 27 extra days of validity cost nothing more, and save nothing either.

That pattern runs through most of the Vi data packs we have on file. What you pay per GB depends mostly on how big the pack is, not how long it lasts. The cheapest gigabyte in the whole set comes in a 1-day pack, at ₹2.45. Below are the Vodafone Idea net packs listed on Vi's prepaid plans page on 4 October 2026. The plain ones are grouped by validity and sorted cheapest per GB first, and the bundles and daily top-ups come after them.

These are the prices as listed on 4 October 2026, and some may have changed since. The full Vi list on PlanPick carries the current set and lets you pick your circle.

What is counted here

A pack makes the tables below if it adds data and carries no calling. Three groups from Vi's page are left out:

  • 16 international roaming packs.
  • Packs that come with unlimited calling. Those are recharge plans with some data attached, and the number to compare them on is cost per day, which how cost per day works explains.
  • Two 28-day packs at ₹55 and ₹105, both labelled "Add-ON Data Pack". Our data does not record how much data either one carries, so there is no per-GB figure to give.

Per GB is the price divided by the total data, rounded to two decimals. It assumes you use all of the data before the pack ends.

The cheapest Vi data pack per GB, by validity

1 day

Pack Data Per GB
₹49 20 GB ₹2.45
₹26 1.5 GB ₹17.33
₹23 1 GB ₹23.00

Vi lists all three with "pack expires at midnight". So the ₹49 pack's 20 GB has to be used before midnight, and ₹2.45 per GB is only true if you get through all 20. Use 3 GB of it and you paid ₹16.33 for each one, which is still less than the 1 GB pack charges.

2 to 7 days

Pack Validity Data Per GB
₹99 2 days 20 GB ₹4.95
₹48 3 days 6 GB ₹8.00
₹89 7 days 6 GB ₹14.83
₹33 2 days 2 GB ₹16.50

The ₹48 and ₹89 packs both give 6 GB. Paying ₹41 more for the ₹89 one buys four more days to use it, and nothing else. Vi labels the ₹48 pack as double data, 3 GB plus 3 GB. That looks like an offer to us, so check the amount on the Vi app before you pay.

14 to 15 days

Pack Validity Data Per GB Also includes
₹95 14 days 4 GB ₹23.75 28 days of SonyLIV mobile
₹61 15 days 2 GB ₹30.50 Handset loss insurance

Our data has no plain data pack at this length. Both of these carry something else, and their per-GB rates show it.

28 to 30 days

Pack Validity Data Per GB Also includes
₹200 28 days 30 GB ₹6.67 20 OTTs, including JioHotstar, SonyLIV and ZEE5
₹348 28 days 50 GB ₹6.96 Listed as a work from home offer
₹230 28 days 30 GB ₹7.67 Spotify Premium and 20 OTTs
₹139 28 days 12 GB ₹11.58 Data only
₹201 30 days 10 GB ₹20.10 Handset loss insurance, 180 days
₹101 30 days 5 GB ₹20.20 28 days of JioHotstar mobile
₹69 28 days 3 GB ₹23.00 Data only
₹251 30 days 10 GB ₹25.10 Handset loss insurance, 365 days

The cheapest gigabyte in this group comes inside an OTT bundle. The ₹200 pack's 30 GB works out a little cheaper per GB than the ₹348 work-from-home pack, with the streaming apps on top. If 30 GB covers your month, take the ₹200 one. If you need closer to 50 GB, the ₹348 pack is the one sized for it.

At the other end, the ₹69 pack charges the same ₹23.00 per GB as the 1 GB one-day pack. For ₹70 more, the ₹139 pack gives four times the data over the same 28 days.

56 to 90 days

Pack Validity Data Per GB Also includes
₹488 56 days 100 GB ₹4.88 Listed as a work from home offer
₹169 90 days 8 GB ₹21.13 84 days of JioHotstar mobile

Only the ₹49 one-day pack beats the ₹488 pack per GB anywhere in these tables. That rate depends on using the 100 GB, though. Use 50 GB over the 56 days and you paid ₹9.76 per GB. The ₹169 pack is a JioHotstar subscription with 8 GB attached, so judge it as one.

Packs that are mostly something else

Three packs pair data with handset loss insurance of up to ₹25,000. The ₹61 pack gives 2 GB and 30 days of cover. The ₹201 and ₹251 packs both give 10 GB for 30 days, and the extra ₹50 on the ₹251 one stretches the cover from 180 days to 365. Judge these as insurance. The terms of the cover are not in the listing, so read them on Vi's site first.

Two more pair 1 day of validity with an OTT bundle. The ₹154 pack has 2 GB and 19 OTTs on the Vi Movies & TV app, including SonyLIV, on mobile only. The ₹248 pack has 6 GB and 20 OTTs on TV and mobile. Counted as data, they cost ₹77.00 and ₹41.33 per GB. Buy either for the shows, never for the data. How long the OTT access lasts is not in our data.

Daily top-ups

Two packs add a daily allowance instead of one lump, which is what some people mean by a data booster. The ₹208 pack adds 1.5 GB a day for 30 days, 45 GB in all, which is ₹4.62 per GB. The ₹145 pack adds 1 GB a day for 28 days, ₹5.18 per GB, but it was last seen on Vi's page on 6 August 2026 and may be gone. Both figures assume you use the full amount every day. Check on the Vi app what happens to a day's unused data before you count on it.

Which one to buy

Start from how much data you need and by when:

  • About 1 GB today: ₹23.
  • 2 GB: ₹33, which also gives you two days.
  • 3 to 6 GB within three days: ₹48. It costs ₹1 less than the ₹49 pack and lasts two days longer.
  • More than 6 GB before midnight: ₹49, for 20 GB.
  • A month of light extra use: ₹139 for 12 GB.
  • A month of heavy use: ₹200 for 30 GB, or ₹348 for 50 GB.

If you are not sure how much you need, sizing a data add-on shows how to work out the gap between your plan and your use. Before you pay, check on the Vi app that the pack still costs what this page says, and whether it needs an active base plan.
